The Series S2 debuts with five new models, including the 10-spoke mesh S200, the aggressive diamond five-spoke S201, the V-5 directional spoke S204, the split five-spoke S207, and the 20-spoke directional S209. The design of these new wheels include a unique twisted spoke geometry and complex 360 degree surfacing inspired by the latest cars.
The all-new Series S2 wheels are available in diameters ranging from 20 to 22 and 24 inches and widths ranging from 7 to 14 inches. For added style and weight reduction, customers also have the choice of optional titanium assembly and lug hardware. The Series S2 will also be available as a centerlock and will be load-rated for larger luxury sedans and SUVs.

Could you run down the difference between the 991 GTS stock center lock turbo wheels and the S2 series. Looking for the differences that would enhance performance.

Weight primarily ... and with a 2 or 3 piece wheel the ability to swap out parts that "you" (me) stupidly curb in a mall car park ... (actually I had to buy a new one since the P40SCs are monoblock and I am ****)

Unsprung weight is a large factor for performance. Loosing 'sprung' weight which would mean anything being held up from the suspension (aka the motor, the driver interior/exterior and so forth), is significant, but not as significant as unsprung weight. Loosing weight on the wheel itself not only helps loose unsprung weight but also a well designed wheel engineered to minimize this weight also will limit rotational inertia for maximum performance.
If you'd like I can send you a PM and go over some options and details on a set of wheels to narrow down the option that you feel is best for you?
its a matter of taste I know, but even as a committed HRE fanboi, these are way too bling gansta for my tastes! - sorry HRE - I still love my P40SCs though!

thanks LC!
HRE: can you give a rundown on the weight comparison between the GTS CL turbo wheels and the S2 series. I'm not in a buying mode right now just need to see if the weight savings would warrant the spend. Then I will explore an upgrade. Thanks.

I can tell you that the factory GT3 wheels which are of course meant to be the light wheels that Porsche makes, are 24lbs / 27lbs (front/rear). S2's will be along the same lines, but if we were to compare that to our lightest wheels, for example the P101 in 20x8.5 are approximately 19.8lbs and 20x11's are 22.0lbs.
The difference in weight on the S2's is primarily because our goal was to load rate the wheels to luxury sedans and SUV's while the P101 for example will be load rated for supercars, and sport GT's for example.
