Interesting concept and a great price. Wonder if any testing has bin done to prove strength vs forged. The last thing anybody wants is a wheel that easily bends.

If I were to wager a guess as the owner of a retail business myself, its that HRE has brought the Flow-Form wheel to the marketplace after constant pressure from consumers for a less costly wheel. For many years they only made their billet forged wheels, which are very costly to produce. The material waste (salvage) to make one wheel out of a blank is incredible. HRE's have always been expensive, around $ 2K a wheel (varies depending on model), but that's a good average. There are customers - many customers - who are not going to spend that much, plain and simple and go to another vendor for their aftermarket wheels. So, they seek out a 3rd party supplier to make a cast wheel (hybrid forged if you will) that they can sell for substantially less and re-capture that customer who was shopping a price point. The wheel has to meet their standards as they put their name on it, but its not like their USA-made flagship line nor would I expect it to have the strength and finish of their full billet wheels. It makes good business sense to offer the Flow Form wheels, but don't confuse them with their premium wheels.

I'm a huge HRE fan. I'm on my second set of wheels from them and yes, I have some heartburn with the price like most do, but I know what goes into them and don't regret the purchase in the least. I'll likely buy a third set one day in the future, too.

I think the FF15 style looks cool.

Nice wheels at a great price point. I've heard they're very good quality too.

Alas, I didn't see a CL option on the site. Would be nice if they could do it.

These wheels are subjected the same testing our forged wheels go through to ensure quality and safety.

I am looking at some expensive mods and so I did purchase a set of the FF 101 in Satin Black. The wheels are really beautifully made. I did have a finish issue but HRE asked me to ship the wheels back to Ca where they refinished them in their US facility. Cannot ask for better customer service than that. I am very happy with the wheels and the value.

After a few other mods I'll be looking at getting a set of the P101's. Just have to let the dust settle from the other mods.

Here at Wheels Boutique we've done over a dozen 991's on P101's this year alone. We'll be happy to help you in picking the proper finishes & sizes once you reach that bridge. We would love to have you be a part of HRE's largest dealer in the world.

Can these wheels be used hard on the track, or are they just street wheels?
