Default 991.1 GTS with fat discount or new 991.2 C2S?

So I have a new 991.2 C2S on order for January delivery. Got very little off MSRP - about 2.5%. Today I'm suddenly offered a 7-month-old 991 GTS, beautifully specced, with 2,500 miles on the clock, for 18% off MSRP from an independent dealer. What would you do: go for the next-generation car, brand new and to the exact spec required, or go for an "obsolete" GTS with 2 previous owners but a huge discount off list?

I would go for the 991.2. Just my opinion. If you go for the 991.1 I would have it really checked out to make sure there is nothing wrong with the car.

Why go for the "obsolete" naturally aspirated GTS? That's so last month. Used cars?? For the birds on that "hot for sale" thread.

Go fuel efficient turbo and the Apple CarPlay thingy! The music will be a distraction from the new engine/exhaust soundtrack. The new rear grill is cooler too. Plus that front axel lift is a must for suburban speed bumps.

1) By the tone of your question you already know the answer.
2) Most people in here will tell you to go with the GTS

2 owners in 7 months and 2500mi ... there must be a story there ...

I'd probably go for the new car to my exact specs, but if you like the GTS spec, it is the last N.A 911 ...

If it checks out I would go with the GTS. Last of the NA, great deal on the $ side, not paying full book for the new model or close to it, and I will bet the GTS will hold it's resale value much better. The new models looks, thats up to you. And the performance difference is so close that to me is a moot point. What sold me on the Porsche first and foremost was the NA sound. Dealer even told me that people trade in many turbo models cuz they don't like the sound. To each their own. Only right decision is your decision!

I'd probably go with the new car. 18% off would be great if that was off MSRP of a *new* car but it's not new and it does seem odd it's already had two owners. Also, avoid getting sucked in by options that look nice but you wouldn't actually order yourself. If you wouldn't have ordered them on a new car, then they don't really have any value on a used car.

Personally, I think the 991.2 will be great: a enhancement of an already wonderful car. I think concerns about the turbo (and it's sound) are overblown (so to speak).

I would be wary of the history on the GTS. I would be wary of the "bugs" in the 991.2 as its a new production cost. If the GTS checks out then I would go that route. I just got mine and never listen to the radio as the exhaust is so damn pleasing so Apple play doesn't excite me. Neither do the turbos. If it's clean, Go with the GTS.

You custom ordered a car. Follow through on your commitment to the dealership.

Why do so many people assume it's ok to order a custom car and back out of it? That's really screwing over the dealer. So many times they get stuck with these goofy builds that they can't move. Regardless of the build, people should stick to their commitments.

the dealer should be able to move the custom order 991.2 no problem. Especially if it has regular colors and no strange customizations. It's the sales rep who loses out as that car can be sold by any of his colleagues but that's how things go sometimes. Get the car that best suits you. Don't worry about the dealer...they will be just fine.

PNA and my dealership had no problem screwing me on my custom build that was there then not there all of a sudden. Talk about following through with your commitments. Please. This is too big of a purchase to go down a road you don't want. You are in escrow. Pull out if you want.
