I have black Nomex flight gloves in my classic 911 for some reason. Can't remember why. When I wear them, I look awesome.

Yep. Like them. Particularly on a leather steering wheel.

I must be the only person who dislikes the heated wheel. Last winter I was driving a friend's Cayman and he turned on the wheel before I got in. It took me the entire drive to find the off switch. Never expected it to be on the inside at the bottom of the wheel. My hands run a bit warm anyway, and if they are cold I prefer gloves. I strongly disliked that heated steering wheel. It was my first encounter. I feel totally different about heated seats. Fully on board with those!

OT- just got a new DD SUV with a heated steering wheel. Holy moly is that nice, and it's not even cold out yet.
I used to keep disposable latex gloves in each car for gassing up. I found in the summer they were too hard to get on if my hands were sweaty. I prefer a pair of inexpensive mechanics gloves. I tended to re-use the disposable gloves and they were a pain to take off and then turn back to the correct side for re-use. The mechanics gloves are easy on/off and even washable if they get dirty.

One more point about disposable gloves - not that it makes much of a difference but re-usable are better for the environment. I make a rather large carbon footprint and I don't apologize for loving to drive and burning fossil fuels - but I also recycle and try to offset my carbon footprint whenever possible (and reasonable). I'm not overboard about it - but just as I prefer a re-usable water bottle rather than disposable plastic when possible, I also would rather re-use gloves than use once and toss, or re-use but hassle with putting them on sweaty hands (which ain't easy)

Agree on all counts but there's also the totally irrational matter of driving tastefully with the GT spirit in mind

I have worn driving gloves since the mid 70s. The plastic steering wheels common in cars I could afford in that era made the skin between my fingers crack. I got used to them and wear such as my "gloves" all winter. Forty years later, I just like the way they feel.

F Driving gloves? ******!

I only wear gloves on the racing bike in very cold weather to keep my hands from going completely numb. Hate having stuff on my hands or wrists.

Man if you can set it up for me I would like that. I tried to figure it out but I am not computer savvy enough. And your categories are perfect too
