Default Windshield wipers when parking

Does anyone know why the wipers "jog" a little up and down when I park my C2? I assume this is normal behavior and was just wondering what the rationale is.

Normal. Protect from getting dead spots on the wipers.

I have never noticed mine do this. Does it happen immediately when you when you turn ignition off? Is it possible you have left your wipers "on" in the intermittent, rain sensing position? I will check for this next time I drive my car. From the responses, sounds like it is normal.

It did this on my 2013 C2 and now ,y 2015 GTS. I expect it is there for a reason. LexVan may be correct.

This is proof positive these cars are NOT meant to be driven in the rain. Porsche programs a jog into the wipers so they don't bond to the windshield, because they are never intended to be used. Only to pass DOT inspection.

Mine are definitely not set on the intermittent setting. I just checked to be sure. It occurs every time I park and turn the engine off. I can't recall if it occurs when I turn the ignition off or actually remove the key from the ignition.

Must be normal. Just found this in my owners manual:

0 – Windshield wipers off
When the windshield wipers are switched off and
also occasionally after the ignition is switched off,
the wipers move up slightly from their rest position
so that the wiping edges are aligned correctly.

Notice, it does say OCCASIONALLY after the ignition is switched off.

My Audi did the same thing. It'll slightly revert the wiper position to avoid permanent deformation of the rubber.
