"Minor Accident" Carfax
Rennlist Experts:
Taking a look around for a cab GTS after my allocation was snuffed and found a slightly used one assigned as a "corporate vehicle" 4800 miles. 144k msrp listed at 125k with a minor accident in its history. That is very similar to my custom build.
Few questions:
1) what is considered minor?
2) does the minor accident prevent it from being CPO?
3) the price seems high to me given the vehicle history. Your take?
4) are there set terms for Porsche Preferred Lease on used cars? Dealer is stating a .003 money factor and 12k miles per year minimum. Sounds very high and goes against the below statement off the Porsche website. Thoughts?
"The Porsche Preferred Lease* provides flexible, attractive terms and reasonable monthly payments on new and pre-owned"

I guess you would have to tell us what minor is. Does it have replacements parts/panels, if so it will not have factory paint, any frame issues... Etc without an accident and 5000 miles the price is close but if the issue is minor you should squeeze for more because you will have to deal with it when you sell it. Make sure you love it more than any other car.

The minor accident would not prevent CPO and since it was only a spot repaint on the rear quarter panel we are good to go on CPO. More than two panels repainted would disqualify CPO.
Upon beating down my business manager, with approved credit, we can lower the money factor to .00260.
I will go a step further and this being my best offer, I can sell the vehicle at the $125k, but I will pick up the CPO cost. After accounting for CA TT&L, at 12k miles per year and putting down at signing first payment and fees, the two year lease comes to $3,224 monthly with a $69,384 residual and for the 36 month $2,585 monthly with a $60,384 residual.

I was the one who started the other thread. I found a CPO Carrera S that had all the options I wanted but had a carfax accident. I ended up passing because for a car as expensive as the 911 is, having that blemish will be killer on resale or trade-in. The dealer claimed he could not find out the details of what happened. Guess it really does not matter. I ended up ordering a 991.2.
