Long cruise: Normal with PSE on w/AS-S off (hate that)
In town: Sport mode with PSE on
Mountain run: Sport Plus w/PASM Sport (simply amazing)
Autobahn above 100mph: Sport Plus w/ PASM normal (found the shocks to be too tight above 125 mph)

I turn on Sport or Sport+ once engine is up to temp, & usually only on my Sunday morning fun drive on the back roads. Most of these times I'm in Auto, but increasingly as I work on improving my skills, more of the time I am using the button shifters...T

funny, i was wondering this today myself
on my 2012.5 991 7mt i had just the sport button but used it rarely.
In the 2016 C4 7MT, i am in Sport Plus 95% of the time...

The "PDCC " lettered button replaced the "shock absorber " graphic button for only turning PASM on or off in 2014 and later cars with the former option ....which is what you are feeling when pushing that button , not PDCC , which is always active and gives a softer overall ride than std fixed roll bars in non PDDC optioned cars
a dumb way to indicate that the car has this option , as it misleads some to think that is what is being switched !

C2GTS 7MT 3 foot.
Sport plus always on right away...right away even before up to temp.
Regarding traction control. In sport plus definitely able to step the back end out MUCH more than in sport mode or regular mode.

I know you weren't asking the MT folks, but it's the first button I pushed on my GTS. If anything, I'd switch off chassis sport on the Autobahn. Seemed to me as the only way to drive the car.

I only use Sport Plus with my PDK around town with the shift lever snapped to the left in the manual mode. Otherwise the downshifts to keep the rpm above 4,000 or so come unexpectedly while watching traffic if you let off on the accelerator to slow down. In manual mode you can control fully up and down with the paddle shifters. In manual you will need to downshift manually or it will coast all the way to a stop, only shifting back to first as you come to a halt.
In just Sport . . . late braking with the PDK shifter in auto mode gives you cool sounding blipping downshifts as you scream up to a stop past other cars, attracting much attention especially with the Porsche Sport Exhuast.
Face it, that's what we bought these cars for.
