Does that make it easy to wash the car and not get swirl marks?
Yes. Xpel then Opticoat which will add a slick Teflon type coat that keeps dust from sitting and helps it slide off. The Xpel does the paint protection and will self heal swirls with some warm water application. None of what I say is from personal experience yet, just lots of reading and q and a from the guys at Xpel. Confidence level is high.

This fellow Wolverine chose GT Silver, although on my 991.2 Targa 4S order and not a GTS.

Go Blue

You should have bought a GT3 that was for sale this spring. Dark blue with PCCB (maize) and some matching trim. Back on topic, of your choices I would go GT Silver with red interior. Classic combo, GT is the best silver IMO. It will look more aggressive with black wheels or more conservative with silver.

I went with Dark Blue Metallic for my GT3. Go Blue!

Of the two, I'd vote Carmine. But, I have a personal problem with car colors these days; in California, 87% of all cars on the road are white or gray and it's unbelievably depressing. Almost no color, anywhere.
