I'm conservative with my cars so I went GT Silver with the carmine GTS interior package, but carmine paint is gorgeous. Very elegant, but it definitely attracts attention. If you're open to carmine, get it. Another consideration is GT silver is a standard color for the 991.2, so they'll be more common -another plus for carmine.

This is my concern in Carmine - in the bright, california sun it might look pinkish and girly. Or this is just bad choice of film filter on the camera thats adding more blue than the eye would perceive in natural light.
When I see it in lower light, with shadows,it looks super mean. But again, there might be a filter here biasing red and making it richer.

Carmine red looks pink in the sun, I've seen one at a dealers. Rhodium silver vs. GT silver is a difficult choice. I have Rhodium silver & adore it, saw a GT silver passing me & it looked darker (more grey) which I didn't care for as much.

Definitely go physically look at a carmine 991 911 with your own eyes at a dealer or rennlister before you finalize your decision.
I thought I would like carmine on my 991 GT3, but didn't as much once I saw it in the flesh. However, you may love it.
Nothing replaces seeing the 991 shape in person with your color of interest.

Yes it is.
Guards Red looks great in anything but a photo in bright sun. However, I think it still looks great to my physical eyes, even in bright sun. It's also a classic Porsche color.
If I had my pick, I would choose Rossa Corsa (Ferrari Racing Red), but none of the Porsches reds really match it.
I did like Guards Red, even over Carmine, and Guards being a free option was also nice.
It does get a lot of attention, some of that being the color and also because its a GT3. Honestly, a bit more attention than I would prefer if I drove it everyday.
The in your face bright red GT3 weekend/track car does pair nicely with my black (under the radar) 997 C2S cabriolet which I use as my DD.

Mine is Agate but I've seen GT silver in the flesh and it's a very rich color with a lot of depth. Not at all a boring silver. Carmine is nice too, and probably a bit more "exclusive," but don't think that GT silver is boring.
