Default What are those button slots for?

I've never seen a build where those bottom three button slots had something there. What are they for?

Accessories - you can have them turn on and off your radar detector, laser jammer, etc.

Looks like the 991.2 will only have two empty spots if you order the front axle lift system.

Correct, unless you opt for the sport chrono package which move the sport and sport plus buttons to the steering wheel.

Yikes. The center console is rapidly becoming a barren wasteland.

I wish they had omitted the extra button slots in favor of making that ashtray hole into a cup holder.

I am going to buy a "Pit Speed" switch from the 991 GT3 RS and put it in one of my open blanks.

This is ridiculous, we've talked about this before. People should be fired over this, we couldn't get away with this kind of oversight in our day jobs.

cup holder may take over the former shift lever area when the manual tranny is probably retired in the " 992 " and PDK manual shifting will only be doable at the steering wheel

I suspect the current button area will be replaced by then with a " twist , toggle and push " multifunction wheel , that requires dangerous eyes off the road while tracking a stupid cursor all over a screen and three steps instead of one push of a dash button now

I have it from a good source that the bottom two will activate the flippers in the pin ball games on the new console screen. Porsche is not about to let Mercedes get ahead of them!

Am I the only one who thinks the exhaust button looks like a pair of binoculars?
