Default Porsche maintenance plan--opinions

Hi, 1st time post, and brand new owner of a 2015 911 GTS purchased locally; while in the midst of closing the deal, I managed to get myself upsold to the 4 yr/40k maintenance plan for ~$3k.
Thinking about this further, however, this is a 3rd car and likely will be a fair weather garage queen that would average

I hope you paid cash and didn't finance $3,000 in prepayment maintenance charges.

Year one. Oil change. About $300.

Year two. Oil change and brake fluid flush. About $500.

Year three. Oil change. Another $300.

Change your cabin filters yourself. Those two filters cost about $90.

I doubt you'll drive 40,000 miles in 3 years. If you do the $3,000 is not so bad because you'll need the spark plug service and engine filters. That job is over $1,200.

If you drive under 40,000 miles, you got jacked. And they won't do early oil changes for that price. Who wants to put 10,000 miles on Mobil 0W40?Our 3.8 with PowerKit beat that oil into tomorrow land.

Water under the bridge. Go enjoy the GTS.

Congrats on the new car.

Correction. 4 year plan. Year four you need another oil change and brake flush. So, another $500ish.

The key is if you take advantage of the plan to do you plugs and engine filters in year #4.

Advantages might be you are protected from crazy dealership inflation.

But what if, in year #4 you are at 36,000 miles. Will they do/cover the 40,000 service?

What if you sell car in year 3? Prorated refund? Transferable?

on my 2016, the retail price is 1450, the dealer "cost" was 1200. the service covers 3 years/30k, so basically three annual services, it also bumps the residual value on leases by 1% and pays for itself, at least in my recent experience, as of this month.

Aren't the services every 10,000 or one year whichever first occurs?

Hmm...don't know why my initial post was cut off--I couldn't complete my post...

Anyhow, I got the 4/40 plan, of which the dealer said it was time or mileage dependent, whichever one came first...

Having said that, I don't anticipate driving anywhere near 10k/yr...I'm going to try to cancel this 'deal', we'll see how it goes...
