Emailed my dealer last night just in case....bought quite a few cars from him but they have to give priority to the 918 buyers so they have no idea at this point what if anything is going to be built, if it will be limited and if there will be allocations enough to satisfy the 918 crowd then the rest of us....wait and see for now.

Yep, and Porsche will add back all of the pieces to make it a GT3 which would ultimately cost more than a GT3 and some people will do that too.

well spotted - a de-winged GT3 it would seem... shame that it's not in focus we could tell more about it...

I would like a wingless GT3, but also my usual old man comforts to go with the stiffer suspension like heated/vent seats, reversing camera and the option for 5 bolt steel wheels. Offer that with the rumored 475ish HP in a NA engine AND a manual in a few years and I would think of trading the TT.
But I doubt that combo will be offered from what I've read.
