I may drive down and see what's up. IIRC though, the Purple lot is that ****ty bumpy dirt lot, isn't it? Last time I was down there it wasn't in the condition I'd want bring my 991.

I'm driving up from LA on Saturday and I'm curious about the parking situation too. I unfortunately didn't land a corral or preferred parking ticket so is it even worth bringing the 991 up? If parking is a giant mess then maybe it makes more sense to take a different car that's more of a beater.

they *might* put you in the purple Porsche overflow lot (at best) otherwise you'll be cast down to park with the masses...

I took the RS5 the last time I went down for the MotoGP races, had to take it really slow in the lot they tossed me in. I thought it was purple. Most of trips to Laguna have been on the moto or parking in the paddock, so I just don't know a lot about the auto parking. Other than it can be a nightmare in and out of a big event obviously.

I was planning a drive down to Carmel Valley early on Saturday and really want to take the 991, so I may just skip the Rennsport activities.

Default Saturday photos...

I attended Rennsport on Saturday. Great event, great opportunities to meet famous drivers, factory people and engage in conversation. Here is a selection of the day's photos (see link on 1st post for full album):

Parking on dirt, glad I brought my truck. There are always quite a few ruts and unevenness, if your car is low something might hit. Plus it was really dusty, drought and all...
