Default Black Satin Carrera S Wheels?

Hello... long timer lurker, first time poster.

I'm ordering a 911C2 before they become turbos. Its pretty much my dream car and I can't wait to finally join the club.

I'm trying to make my car appear more like some of the upper range models, particularly the GTS. I find the stock look of the car to be more GT than sportscar, but that's just my opinion.

To do this, I think that the sport design fascia and possibly black wheels might give me that look.

Does anyone have any photos of the black stain wheels on a 911? I can't seem to find pictures of the black. The platinum seems much more common on the 911.

Thanks guys!

Default Black Satin Carrera S Wheels?

See this car for your color reference:

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...8841/overview/

They have this listed as a GTS, but actually a 4S.

Have you checked the "hot for sale pick of the week" thread? Some amazing deals on 991.1 Carrera S's. Why order new for a base model when you can get a practically brand new S for ALOT less $$$$ ??

Platinum Satin

I'm not sure if you can get the Carrera S ones in black. I think you can pay extra to have them painted to match the car if you want.

Satin black wheels are an option for the 991.2, check the configurator to get a feel for it.

better off to try the following yourself first with std silver finish wheels first, with 10 bucks of matte black Plastidip from any Home Depot .... then have a wheel place paint them this or any color you want for half the Porsche option price if you decide the " lump of coal " look is for you

if youtube DIY queen " TV Tara " can do it .....LOL....so can you

Good first post. Congrats on getting your dream car. I think we all feel the same way. I think the sport design front is an excellent idea. Maybe even get the full sport design package if you can find it. I had the black painted wheels on my old 991 C2. Here are some pics. Not satin but still looked good in my opinion.

better to pay a little more for these shiny " black " optional wheels with polished rims to get your $$ worth visually , or the satin platinums ..I have seen several 981s and 991s at the dealer with " satin black " and they look like TV Tara did them... no way any one can duplicate this pic below or even satin platinum with a couple cans of rubberized spray paint

Looks good. Did you paint the center caps too or just buy some black ones from Porsche? May need to do this sooner than later...Its a real pain to keep my silver wheels looking good.
