Congrats. One of these is high on my list. Can you please provide a review? More specifically I've read that these are prone to lots of wind buffeting and noise - more so than a cab. Can you confirm or debunk please?

Did a lot of research on the noise and buffeting issue before purchasing mine. Opinion is all over the map as to whether the Targa or the Cab is quieter and has less buffeting with the top down. I think it may partly depend on how tall you are. Mine is very quiet up until about 55-60 mph, at which point it gets noticeably louder, though conversation is still easily possible. I am only 5'8", and where I position my seat there is an annoying and persistent, but moderate, buffeting on my left ear at highway speed. On the other hand I can leave a loose sheet of paper on the passenger seat at highway speeds without it being sucked out of the car and my hat stays on with no problem. My previous Boxster was much noisier, loose paper would be sucked out of the car at city speeds, shouted conversation was challenging on the highway and a cap would have to be very firmly planted.

Hi everyone! I just posted last week. I'm also a first time Porsche owner. I've owned many performance cars before but this is probably my last sports car purchase. I was very fortunate to get an order in last week for something very similar to yours. I built it exactly the way I'd want which was basically loaded with every option available. Carrera White with GTS Package and Silver Dial! It's schedule to come in early Jan and I'm thrilled! I was going to purchase a Turbo S but after hearing the flat sixes would be gone, I decided to get a Targa GTS. I think I'll be getting one of the very last ones built ! Looking forward to meeting you all on the forum!!

For sure. I suspect your height and seat location will have a lot to do with what you experience with the top down.
