The dealer installed mine and charged 2.5 hours of labor.

Had them installed on my 991 S with X51 (centre radiator). I do think the car runs a little hotter than before but still well within boundaries. Installed by my local indie but cannot remember time charge but less than 4 hours I think.

Yes, definitely runs hotter. Not sure I like that. After a 3 hour interstate haul, I looked down and my water temp was 232 F. Thats above boiling (for water, not coolant)... doesn't seem right though.

Your water temperature went above 194 indicated?

This particular car has no front sensors. It's a friends car. They make a version for the sensors too.

STG, are those the rennline ones? And it sounds like people are paying 1.5-4 hrs labor?

Ooops. I made a mistake, I thought the top display was water temp, it's actually oil temp. Now 232 doesn't seem abnormal lol. Not sure how I got that mixed up.

P.S. A leaf got behind one of my grills somehow and it's killing me!

Yes. Rennline. Mine were part of a bigger project, so don't have an accurate time.

gbree just posted hrs on a dealer install he just got done. Look above. Was reasonable.

Default Do these work on a 50th anniversary?

After an oil spill at the track i collected pounds of debris and still have to clean out the radiators and the oil cooler. These would be great.

Id be surprised to see real heat gains happening from this kit. If it had a solid part Id say maybe, but otherwise Id say its pretty negligible.

Reviving this thread since my AC condenser just took a direct hit during a recent track day and fried the compressor after all the freon leaked out. I'm looking to get these added, but if my front bumper is already off, I'm considering getting radar detector/laser jammer installed at the same time.

The other option is to try a DIY without removing the front bumper. I saw some old threads about attempting that, and perhaps getting something from Custom Car Grills or other similar suppliers that is significantly less expensive than Rennline's option. Any recent success with that method?

Get Zunsport, many other RLers have and love them. Many posts about them too. Here is one of many

Precisely what my dealer quoted me. This is how long it took me to do it:

Grills - drill and fasten with screws - 15 minutes
Front cover, head light and side markers removal - 45min
Reinstall front cover, lights, etc. - 45 minutes

This is how long the job should take if you know what your doing. I just did this two weeks ago as I sold my grills to a Rennlister. I would never have removed them to sell, if it would take 4 hours to do the job. My sale price was $200 and I would not work for less than $100 per hour.
