I had 35% Suntek carbon CXP tint installed today. I think it turned out pretty well! Not too dark, but not too light either.

Lovely car: congrats. Really nice list of options; powerkit

Re the M4: I was bummed that BMW went from high-rev NA to turbo - but then so has Ferrari and Porsche. The irony .. and inevitable given mpg and CO2 goals now being imposed on OEMs.

My car will be getting a full paint correction, full coating of Modesta BC-05, and a full front (hood, bumper, side views, front quarter panel) XPEL clear bra tomorrow. Here are some before pictures that will serve as a reference to how it looked prior to all of this:

I finally decided to take the car to a local detailing shop (Hi Performance Detail in Baton Rouge, LA) to have a full paint correction, modesta BC-05 coating applied, and a full front XPEL clear bra installed. The decision was prompted after the car reached 11,000 miles as well as acquiring a few rock chips (done by the previous owner) and swirls in the paint.

I can honestly say it looks better than new; the guys at Hi Performance did an amazing job. Here are some pictures of the process and the end results:

Unfortunately my badges came in AFTER the car was detailed. Luckily they said that they would go over the rear if I brought it back in.

Enjoying the sight of my new addition

At the end of the day, I'm very pleased with the quality of the work performed on my car. It's also very nice knowing that it wont gain any additional rock chips!

Looks amazing! See what a paint correction and quality coating can do? PPF for further protection too.

Guys, pay attention to his rebadging and putting the letters back in the same spot (blue painters tape). It's impossible to get them back in the same spot unless you have the factory template which seems hard to come by.

Thanks! Very glad everyone urged me to get the clear bra. As for the rebadging, my painters tape application wasn't the most beautiful, but I think it worked perfectly!

Gbree, awesome car dude!!!!
I am going back and forth between Guards RED and Saphire Blue for the new 991.2C4S.
Your car is simply amazing to look at after the paint work was completed. I have been using Clear Bra for over 10 years now. I have the same guy do all my vehicles. It is worth the investment. I have had to replace a few parts over the years but the paint is always protected. I have owned 16 Porsches but never Guards Red. I haven't pull the trigger on this color due to the hint of orange that sometimes shows in photos. I don't see that in your car however. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

After owning 16 Porsches, it's definitely time for guards red! You will not be disappointed. These photos don't do the car any justice; it's so much better in person!

That's just beautiful! Mine came with a half bra, so no chips, but a paint correction is in order, and I'm considering doing the rest in Xpel, as it has served me well on the M3.

This is my first red car, as I don't consider my Arena Red 986, a tru 'red', and I'm loving it.
