Do you track your car?
#16
Never tracked a car before in that never on a track... Just a course made of cones in a parking lot w plenty of run off aka autox. Would do with GTS in a heartbeat. Car comes 12/11.
Now... Taking GTS into a real track, as in boo boo = very expensive. Donno yet.

Or course!
This has been my first summer of tracking and I can say that I'm completely hooked
For those that have never tracked their 911 -- You're missing out on so much joy that these cars can give. Controlling a rear engined car on the limit through sweeping corners is just so much fun.

I have gotten my track kicks by taking my 991 to a Porsche Driving Experience at Atlanta, parking it paying to drive a GT3 or TT on the track. However, I do get my kicks by stuffing my GTS around mountainsides in NC with Sport plus activated. Transporting a change of clean underwear is appropriate for either venue

How do you like the Radical? How do the operating costs compare to a street based car in your experience? Do you wrench it yourself?

It's a fantastic car and to date (4 race weekends, 5 club races and a test and tune day).. it's been rock solid. Gas 'n go!!
I do my own fluid changes, and also "spanner" the car between sessions and also maintain brakes and tires. Because it's so light, both of those consumables last much longer than on my track focused GT3.
To run similar lap times in a Porsche I'd need to be in a 997.2 Cup car and the running cost would be exponentially higher....

Three Wheelin'
I would like to experience mine on the track, but I have a dedicated, gutted, track prepped 370Z with all appropriate safety equipment that I track instead. At the speeds these cars are capable of, I'd rather not drive it with just a 3 point belt and a helmet. I do plan on doing the Porsche thing at the HQ in Atlanta though, just to see how the car behaves on track. I have a friend who is a coach there.
