As you can see in the picture below, the back of the cap is shaved off allowing easily installation of the loop from top/bottom.

Anyone know if there's a pn for this stud/pin/**** that anchors down the tether? Or it only comes with the purchase of the filler cap? Tia.

It might be obvious but don’t use your heat gun in the gas filler area….

Looks like there's two versions offered now as I have a newer faux aluminum+black gas cap on my 2022 Cayenne, and there's the older all silver color faux aluminum one that's been posted here a bunch as a heads up

Just purchased the older all silver one for my 991 50th

Just received mine from parts and had a quick question: the actual "grey" underside plastic plug that slots into the car's gas neck, there's supposed to be a tiny amount of give and play on that twisting and turning the faux aluminum "cap"?

This could be the dumbest $300+ I've spent, but why not have an alu-look gas cap for both Porsches? Install on the 991.2 and 971 G2 Panamera were both easy. Just used needle nose pliers to pull off the old tether from the pin, and then put the new one on using the pliers to pull it into place over the pin.

Aluminum-look cap on 991.2 (don't worry - removed to put back in so Porsche was right-side-up)

In it's refueling spot

Had to get one for Panamera, too
