Llumar CTX 30 is really nice and not too dark.

I just tinted my 2015 GTS with Formula One Pinnacle 30% and Llumar Air 80 on the windshield. It doesn't get any better than Formula One Pinnacle. Next would be 3M. Looks great on the white car with glass sunroof.

On a related note has anyone tinted a 991 Targa?

I'm really on the fence of doing it or not. That curved glass probably can't be done in one piece.

It really depends on what you are looking for. Llumar is the largest window film manufacturer out there, their film line is very nice and their Ceramic series is good for the price. If your just looking for good privacy and UV reduction Llumar is a nice choice.

If you are looking for the next level film and technology that offers superior heat reduction, infrared reduction and High TSER readings. A product like Photosync, Ceraluxe, Crystalline, Huper etc. are a better choice although this technology will require a higher premium than a standard Llumar film.

I've done window tint on just about every car I have ever owned but for some reason I'm reluctant to on my 991 Targa. I'm sure a good installer could do a great job on the back glass, I'm just worried that the darker windows will be a bit over the top on my car. Perhaps I will try to replicate in Photoshop and see how it looks.

Would any of you be willing to post pics with your %s? Would be really helpful in helping some of us decide on a look. Crystalline seems to be the best of breed based on my research.

I agree crystalline is probably one of the best, as is Llumar ceramic.

I didn't want to spend that much because this is a leased car. If I decide to buy it I will have the tint changed to crystalline.

My installer, a tint installer for 22 years, feels the llumar ATC is perfectly acceptable for the needs I had. It doesn't fade, warranty is for life on both install and film issues (fading, peeling, scratching, etc...), blocks >99% UV, and keeps the heat out.

I did 35% and it looks great, obviously needs 3-5 days to cure before final assessment, and I'm pleased.

For a leased car it is perfect. Total cost was $225 plus tax.

This is Prestige CeraLuxe 20% on the rear and 33% on the front windows. Not the best angle but gives you a good idea how it looks.

I have Huper all around, including clear ceramic on windshield, I love it. About 25% all around. Max legal in Texas. Btw, check your state laws...T

Mine was tinted when I bought it with Solar Gard NR Supreme 8. It is 5% on all sides and back. Almost everyone will say 5% is too dark but it looks very "VIP" with metallic black paint.

Mine is non-reflective. Also make sure you get ceramic or non-metal.

Here's mine. I went with Llumar and it was around 45%. I usually go with 35%, but I thought with the much smaller glass area, it would be too dark inside. Really happy with how it looks.
