I see in the 991 manual that many of the 991's have a 16.91 gal tank - it says next to an asterisk that the tank size is "including approximately 2.64 US gal reserve". What does that mean? Does it mean there are still 2.64 gal left after you burn through 16.91, or that 2.64 gal before 16.91 gal (i.e. 14.27 gal) the car will say it is stone cold empty, but isn't?

Gas tank 16.91 gal full and the low fuel warning comes on while you still have 2.64 gal in the tank so from that point you have 30-50 miles to find a gas station .
