Love the red top.
From the article:
Looking instantly identifiable, the facelifted version has a new front bumper and modestly redesigned headlights.

You know, its really hard to tell from a few spy photos, but I tend to prefer the sleekness of the existing model vs what looks like a tacked on front end and a less harmonious rear. I might change my opinion once I see them in the flesh.

Sorry but the rear end of that car is awful. The vertical grill, tailpipes and bumper edges are just horrible. How can they think this looks good? Particularly the way the vertical lines in the grill interact with the horizontal lines along the wing and engine cover. Just looks like a mess. I'd swear they hired Chris Bangle to do this.

My 997 has 4 pipes, must be faster huh? Also don't like the vertical grill. I agree, it fights with the horizontal design elements. Porsche has to make changes, these were not positive changes.

I'm days away from taking delivery of my 16 Targa GTS (totally biased) and these are spy shots so who knows what elements are still up in the air. That being said, I have zero buyers remorse and quite the opposite, I feel like the design changes are a step backwards. I'm usually pretty quick to embrace change and also quick to wish I had waited for the latest thing but I'm so glad I pulled the trigger when I did. I still think this is a great looking car, but I prefer the 991.1.
The only exception will be if the new model gets a much more modern entertainment system with meaningful improvements and my car proves impossible to upgrade. That will be jealousy inducing but not enough to make up for the design changes. I'm also a NA over Turbo guy but not religious about it.
