Default Paint Issue

New C4S, Black/Black.

Paint run/drip drivers side front fender about 1/3 inch long. It appears to have come from the factory with it.

Wet sanded with 3000 grit and got most of it, but still visible.

Short of a repaint, which dealer offered, what can be done?

Wait till you get some stone chips. Then do a Re-paint. See if the dealership will do it in a year or two from now. Then it will be fresh and perfect again for another year or so.

Pic?

I'd get it as good as you can with a wet sand and live with it. I'd avoid a repaint.

Maybe clear bra will mask it? See if the dealership will pay for that. With the understanding that if you're not satisfied, they still cover the repaint costs.

After wet sanding with 2500 grit (sometimes called wonder paper, cuz you wonder if it is doing anything). Use a flat top bottle cap as your sanding block. Finish with 3M Finesette II.
I hope the drip was in the urethane, and not the base color coat. Good luck....Chris
