Recently was on a drive with the wife listening to the radio. I have HD radio, and it was set to a HD station. Wife was complaining that she was hearing static from the radio. I really did not notice until I listened more closely, but she was right, in the background there was definite static. I live in NY where the signal strength is strong. Anyone else experiencing static on their radio or is it just me? For those who have similar issues, any solution?

I have the Bose HD receiver. I live in lower Westchester and have found that the hd signal sent out by the local radio stations tends to drop out here and there. Reverting to analog automatically.
When the radio is picking up hd there should be a hd logo on the upper right part of the screen. I'm also not a fan of built in windshield antennas. Im having the same issue in the BMW as well. Sounds great while it's in hd but it does drop out often..

I believe xm is picked up with the square antenna located below the rear glass. I have xm factory installed as well but didn't continue the subscription. It worked fine for the first three months. Lol
