This. However I don't care, I drive the Prius as the DD to feel better about MPG. Net balances out

6.8 mpg yesterday at Miller Motorsports Park, 30+ mpg on a tank from Denver to Utah, 20-22 mpg overall. I'm satisfied with the efficiency given the performance available.

Calculated 25-26 with mixed driving the C4S .... the trip computer is always 1-2 mpg off and show's 27-28.

I showed 32.2 mpg in my 2015 C2S/PDK on a 57 mile drive southbound on I-15 from Temecula down to Miramar area in northern San Diego. Had the Auto Stop/Coast turned on . . . and was with mid-morning traffic in the low 80 mph most of the time.
On 50 mile runs up to Fresno on heavy truck traffic Highway 99 I seem to get 2 mpg better with the Auto Stop/Coast feature on even though it never seems to come on in heavy traffic. I've seen 30 mpg on some trips, usually about 28. Staying with the flow of traffic which ranges from 85 down to 62-63 when two trucks are trying to pass with a string of cars behind them.
Of course when showing off Launch Control my mileage may vary . . .

Please remember that the English Imperial Gallon is something like 4.5 liters while the American Gallon is closer to 3.7 Liters!
So talking MPG in Cornwall isn't the samething as talking MPG in Pacoima at 72°F!

it's not only about the economics ... I just hate stopping at a gas station. So good fuel economy for me is great as I use mine as a DD and find it convenient I do not have to fill up every 250 mile.

These cars "can" be economical if we want them to be and we don't need engine changes to achieve that just to please the environmentalists.
