Congrats, that is one well thought out car. I noticed the configurator doesn't show it, but it's good to see the white gauges and aluminum pedals. I too thought they were necessary to 'pick up' the interior. I wish I still had the energy to own a black car, you're a better man than I am!

No way. I tried that once before and it damn near killed me. Every spec and swirl saw me back in the garage for hours. There's nothing better though, just the price is too high for me nowadays. Good luck, your build is after my own heart.
Oh, and by the way, those are red seat belts in my car too!

Very nice. You will love the GTS. I noticed you live in NC, as I do. Do you mind telling me which dealer you bought the car from? I have no affiliation with any of them, but do buy mine form Leith in Raleigh/Cary. Send it in a PM if you want to.

Nice build, congrats! Echo the sentiment on black cars, I couldn't do it again myself but to each their own.
Weren't you ordering a GT3 RS or was that someone else? Is the GTS in addition to the RS?

Still fighting with Porsche for an allocation for the RS. First one fell through. Plus I wanted the last of the manual non-turbo's.

I will always struggle to understand how someone can pay $2K for Bose but not $6K for Burmester. Having had both, it's the first box I ticked.
Bose is just so.... Bose.

LOL, seriously? Base is below the minimum threshold of acceptability to me. Bose clears that threshold. 2K for decent sound beats 6k for much better sound to those of us who aren't too interested in the stereo anyway, but find the base to be deplorable.
I will say this, though: the Bose system in my previous Turbo was quite a bit better than the one in my current GTS.
So try this on: presumably somebody makes an unbelievable custom aftermarket stereo that could be put in your car for $15,000, that would be better than the Burmester. But you haven't bought it, have you? Why would you spend $6000 for the Burmester but not $15,000 for the George Szell Premo Auto Auditorium?
Yeah, that's my same reason for only getting the Bose.

It was a legitimate question. If you have a hearing problem, why pay for Bose?
Burmester home systems tend to run about $250K all in, and the variant available in Porsches is much better than aftermarket alternatives.
I say this having a system at home that cost far more than my Targa GTS -- though not Burmeister.
$6K for Burmester is a stunning value, rare in the world of P-cars.
