My wife has never really fully appreciated or enjoyed the '96 TT - usually commenting that it drives too much like an "old" car, which of course is one of the main reasons I love it so much!
So, in an effort to please her (happy wife - happy life!) and have the best of both worlds, I added a 2014 Targa4S to the stable. It has all the new car amenities she enjoys like a smooth & quiet ride, navigation, cup holders and of course heated seats!
These are two beautiful cars that are both a pleasure to drive for completely different reasons, and honestly - as much as I love driving the TT - the Targa is an absolutely stunning car and incredibly impressive in many ways. I know it's not everyone's "cup of tea" - but I'm really a fan of the look. I've had a few Targa's ('85, '97, '07) and this is my favorite so far....
So for now it's the Targa for date nights and the TT when I get a hall pass.
Sweet tandem!! I almost picked up a '15 Targa, but got C2S Sportline instead. I love the retro look of the targa with all the new-fangled tech! Also.....never, ever, ever get rid of the TT!!!!!
Nice combo! I tried to keep my Turbo (2002 X50) after getting my GTS, but I was doomed. Every time I try to keep two similar sportscars, I wind up liking one more than the other and never driving it. Sold the TT.
