Default Zuffenhausen visit

I have a confirmed plant tour in September in Stuttgart and was looking for any advice-what to expect-for a first timer. (other than being on time)

Here is what I did on my last visit in 2013!

The Mercedes museum is also worth visiting if you have time.

Eduardo, have a great trip! I'm sure many of us, myself included will buy you a beer if you could document the PTS color wall

I am going to try. 'Porsche Exclusive' is hosting me & my wife for lunch on Friday, July 17th and then we have a couple of hours to discuss PTS & 'Porsche Exclusive' with the executives there. It should be fun...and hopefully productive!

And Mercedes Museum, Sindelfingen factory tour, etc.

Plus all kinds of things around Stuttgart that are car related. For example, this is fairly new at Böblingen, very near Sindelfingen:

For the production plant tour, photography is usually forbidden and they will ask you to leave your mobile and any cameras with them until the end of the tour.

That is true. But you can use your camera in all public spaces...plus inside some areas of the Porsche factory if you get permission. For example....you can see how many photos I took in & out of the factory & posted at this thread back in 2013:

"Porsche Exclusive" or "Porsche Elusive" between allocations and PTS availability?

Museum entrance is free if you're a PCA member--at least it was in 2012 when I visited. Factory tour is fantastic! You'll be down in the trenches dodging motors and chassis moving overhead.

With PCA card Museum entrance was free in May of this year. Also, you get 15% discount in the Museum shop and 10% at the Dealer shop (across the street) with PCA Card. Parking charge (4 Euro?) was only cost other than wearing out my credit cards in the two shops.

We will be in Stuttgart next year in May but for a limited time. Is it realistic to try to do both Porsche and MB museums one one (long) day? Or too ambitious? They're only 16 miles apart!

Easy Peasy!

By the way, the distance between the two museums I think is considerably shorter than 16 miles! More like 5.5 miles...
