Went for a ride on my bike this morning and realized that, literally, 100% of other riders exchanged a waive with me. Now, it was early (6:00) and on great roads (92 to Skyline to 84 to Pescadero to Hwy 1 to 92 and back home), but it made me notice and made me happy. I was thinking how increasingly rare it's becoming that other 911 drivers exchange a waive. I think there've been other threads on this, but I'm curious if this is a regional or general thing.

I used to always wave at other Porsches drivers, but stopped doing it as a habit around 5 or so years ago.

Most Porsches now are SUVs (I am partly in this group too). They just never will wave back at you. I think some actually think I was stupid when I waved at them.

Also, in my neighbourhood, I see Porsches every one to few blocks. I will be too busy waving if I keep doing it.

I wave to other 911 owners, Boxsters, all farmers and Amish kids.

All farmers wave back.

911 air cooled guys are pretty good about waving back. Best of the 911 group.

Amish kids look up, but are usually too afraid to acknowledge you. Every once in a while they sneak me a well concealed little wave.

There's no way I'm waiving the rights to my car away!

I will wave at other Porsche's! The success rate isn't as high as it should be.

I do get acknowledgment sometimes from other car enthusiasts. Unfortunately, not all Porsche owners are enthusiasts.

Rights cannot be waived. They are inalienable.

You can "waive" your rights to many things, including the right to remain silent😀! But a "wave" to a Porsche enthusiast is not a right but a friendly gesture! I wave even when in my other cars or even a rental, usually followed by a "thumbs UP"!

I wave and flash other 911s. About a third respond. The others "waive" their right to wave.

As a motorcyclist and a jeep wrangler owner (both groups wave) I get tired a waving honestly. It is kind of cool though. Porsches are so rare in my area I never meet one on a two lane road when I'm driving mine. Motorcycles are so abundant I get tired of waving when I ride. I didn't know porsches had a wave (I never pass one).

I was out on my normal 50 mile Saturday ride yesterday and yes all the bike riders were waving. I did feel obligated though to stop and check out this rider's TT bike. Looked fast in the aero position, but rider needed a slight seat height adjustment.

I generally wave at all 911 and Boxster and caymans, almost never at the SUV group. I used to at the SUV's but most around here are driven by females and ignored me. Most of the non SUV type wave back.
