Default Discount on MY15 4S in inventory?

Hey everyone, I'm looking at a 2015 C4S that's in inventory (and probably has been for awhile now) at a dealership. The MSRP is ~$120K and I'm wondering what a reasonable discount off that should be at this point in the calendar year. I'm used to getting about 6% off MSRP from dealers in my area but am assuming I should be able to do better than that given it's already May and the car isn't moving.

I appreciate the help.

It will be heavily dependent on region, number of similar models on the ground, and number of incoming units. If that particular dealership doesn't have another car like it incoming they will be far less motivated to move the unit. I can speak from personal experience. In the northwest region of the US you will receive very little if any discount if you have not previously purchased vehicles. Lotta buyers and not a lot of cars. Just my 2 cents good sir. So 6% would be a very generous discount in my region.

It's just becoming sports car season (yes, I see you are in sunny CA, but still). Offer 8.5% off MSRP, and be ready to walk out. They wont accept, but make them counter your offer. I doubt you'll get 6% off. 2-3% for sure. 4-5% if you're a good negotiator. 6% if they are motivated. It will sell, just a matter of time.

It's not like the lots are packed with 2016's. I believe they just started showing up correct??

I'm surprised you can even get 6% in Northern California. If you could score 6-8% on this specific car, consider it a win. Especially in your region.

middle of the pack; no personal experience with them, better than Carlsen, not as good as Fremont or Sonnen.
