Default 50th for sale; what next?

I just posted it in the market place.

I ended up getting a smoking deal on a McLaren 12c and it has been getting way more use. I'm surprised at how good a daily driver it is.

My Cayenne has also seen a drop in usage now that we've got a third kid and we take the mini-van everytime we go out as a family.

So, I decided to merge the cayenne and 911 into a single car. The question is, what to get.

I'm thinking the m4, it seems much roomier than the e90 m3.

Any advice?

This phrase, "to merge the cayenne and 911 into a single car", sounds as if it implies Panamera.
The face-lifted 2017 Panamera will look much better than the current one, they say.
Many Panamera owners avow that it is a better sport sedan than any of BMW M-Series. I've even heard one saying it is the only sport sedan.

I was thinking the Panamera as well. I need to drive one. The trouble is, with a car that big, I wish they would put a bench seat in the back.

I was a Cayenne hater for a long time. Then I drove one... What a car.

Drove the new M3 Sedan, I've had an F10 M5 and E90 M3 and I hated that new M. Sold the M5 and bought a Panamera GTS, love the sound and driving feel vs old M5. Really wish I could have my old M3 back though.

One thing to check out is the 435 Grand Coupe. The M guy who gave me a test drive told me this was what he was waiting for. Since then I've seen them around and they are pretty cool. If only they had an Alpina version......

I drove Panamera, Panamera S, and Panamera E Hybrid for almost 3 months as Porsche replaced engine on my 14 C2S. I did not like Panamera at all. Not sure exactly what it is... Sport car? Not really...luxury car? Maybe.

Four months ago traded in 12 750i for new F80 M3 and love it. For 70k, its a great four door package of performance, fun, and practicality.

I have an M4. Great if you have to transport other people, especially kids. Very fast and smooth. A LOT of car and cool features for the money. The feel of the car and driving experience is not that of a Carrera though.

I can't do the P85D because of range issues when we go to the mountains. That could change if they ever open a supercharger station in Stockton.

The other thing that might work is the Charger Hellcat.

I think the M3/M4 and C63 (love the new interior) are strong contenders as well.

I'm a big fan of my 435 w/M Sport stuff as a DD. The back seats pretty much get glowing reviews from everyone under 5'10" and it's a really comfortable and competent car to drive. Just took it on a college visit road trip last week with my wife and two teenaged kids. No problem fitting all of our stuff in the trunk, great for me to drive, no passenger complaints and a thousand easy miles. All good.

It's not an M4, but plenty of usable power and the MT is fantastic.

You think E90 was better car than F80? I had E93 and now have F80. No comparison for me. The new M3 is superior in all aspects. I hated my old E93 so much that I sold it after 10 months. For 55k less than my 911, i feel my M3 was a bargain.

I haven't finished my signature yet since I just joined the forums but I own currently an RS7, RS5 and R8 GT but I am right now looking for a 991 Carrera S slightly used as a daily driver for a longer commute to work. The RS7 is a bit of a gas hog for the commute I need to do and will get me arrested as it really cruises without effort that it is easy to be in triple digits without always realizing it. Thing is nuts though in acceleration. I know it equals or takes my R8GT..I.just can't bring myself to do it officially. The Carrera S can take over for occasional track duty so I do not further abuse my R8 and will certainly keep the commute fun. Anyway RS7 is a great car... dynamic package for the correct suspension is necessary though that most do not have. Thinking about the P85D as well but not sure I really want the four doors and I am a little worried what resale or trade in looks like on a 75K mile car in a few years of use while the Porsche I will happily keep. Just drove a regular version (not the D) again and it is a really compelling car, each time I drive one I can see and feel the improvements.

Absolutely. Maybe it was my test drive, but I didn't care for the F80 at all. Also, maybe the difference between E90 and E93?

Remember I had an M5 in between. The f10 was scary fast, but there was a buzz in the steering that would put my hands to sleep on the fwy. I really wanted to like the F80, always been an M fan.

Walked over and drove a Pani GTS and the steering and exhaust sold me.

Still think the op should look at the 435 Grand Coupe.
