yes, jet black metallic. the blue flakes gives it a deep blue look under a bright/clear texas sky. to be honest when i ordered it i was less thinking about the MY than i was getting a NA, 7MT and being intrigued by the fewer Targas on the road. the MY is icing on the cake! that first shot from yesterday has the white 997 GTS in the background. what a difference this car is.

The old Basalt Black Metallic was pretty neat too. Looks like a great color.

Enjoy in good health. Looks great!!!!
That makes 2 of us. However, I think the chances of the 918 wheel are getting slimmer and slimmer...

Is it just me or are the black xenon's darker than the black LEDs? It's actually the first time I have seen black LEDs before.

This car is stunning. To say the least. I trade my 997 Turbo S PTS Azzuro Blue Metallic for a Carmine Red Targa GTS build. I had some doubts. To see this one has me on cloud 9. I went all out this may be my last Porsche build but what a way to go nothing beats a Targa IMO

Be glad for July to get here. Can't Wait !!!!!

This car is a winner. I had a minor reservation as let's face it, it carries a premium and it is a bit of specialty car - performance is not #1 here. But i have to say, 2 days in and i couldn't be happier. All reservation gone and i hope you guys enjoy yours as much as i am enjoying this one!

ps, go for the Burmester. it really is that good.

Hi wru,
Can you write about how the wind dynamics are with the roof down especially compared to a cab

I keep hearing that above 50 mph there is wind turbulence etc

Thx

Give me a couple days and will report back. Ran it at about 50 mph for about 30 min Saturday, but not much above with the top off. Can't comment on the cab as I've not owned one, but I'll let you know what I see with this one. At 50 and revving, we were still able to converse about the audio quality of the burmester.

What a beautiful car! My first Porsche was a 1989 black Targa and I'd love to get back into one some day. Enjoy!

I used to be a Targa hater, but they look so amazing. Congrats!

casaforte, nothing appreciable for turbulence that i sense. it's seems reasonable to me but again i've not owned a cab.

rzani - no other reason for not getting the pdcc than i didn't have it prior and don't know what i'm missing ;-) for what it's worth, the black with rhodium stitching really complements the silver bar well. i'm quite pleased with the color choices. the jet black metallic looks almost dark blue under clear texas skies, black with a little overcast. on the LED's, i have to say that LED ring light is pretty cool, and the light distribution in general is quite good. Happy i made that call.
