Thanks. I did confirm that it's a 2016. I had thought that the mid-cycle update was due for the 2016, but I guess not since we're so close and I haven't seen any official pictures.

...Oh, and any idea if the Sport Steering wheel is changed? I had read that there might be a change to a more 918 look in 2016?

Ya, it looks as though the facelift will be MY17. MY16 may be a shortened model year with the MY17 arriving early in calendar 2016. But that's all conjecture.

My guess is that the new steering wheel will be a running change to the option list sometime for MY16. It'll be one of the (small) downsides to getting one of the first 16s if I'm right. If I'm wrong though, you'll be the first to know! Good luck.

Many thanks. I'm okay without the updated wheel if that's true as I really like the current one too. With that being said, the GT4 already has the new wheel so who knows.

Cheers.

My dealer told me that the steering wheel on the '16s will be the same as on the '15s, but who knows (lots of posts on this board indicate that the new wheel will be available -- at least at some point -- on '16s).

That was my experience. Big, "Premier" dealer, good guys, long history. Built the order with my sales guy. 136,600 MSRP. He trots in to manager, comes back and says they can do a $500 Customer Loyalty discount.

By the time we were finished with several rounds of back and forth I managed 4%. Had been gunning for 5 from the start. It was tough getting the 4.

But honestly, everybody was happy. Saving another $2600 (2%) by either walking or threatening to walk and risking the very good relationship I have (in case something goes wrong when I'm close but out of warranty) wasn't worth it to me. Saving money is good, but in the end, it's got to work for everybody.

Local Porsche dealer has a brand new black 991 GTS coupe on the showroom floor - they will do an $8,000 discount.
