Under the one piece front compartment's battery cover there is a "yellow plastic strap" that is clipped for future use. For general location purposes, in a separate covered tray, underneath the one piece battery cover, the tire pump pump is stored.
Porsche put that yellow plastic strap in the 991 for what future (emergency?) purpose? A search of the 991 Forum did not turn up a thread identifying this strap. A photo of the one piece battery cover showing its underside and the yellow plastic strap is attached.
Thanks in advance for your help in identifying the yellow strap's use.

Looks like a back scratcher.
I've removed those covers before during Tech Inspection for PCA DE's, but never noticed. As we are not looking at the back side of the cover, we are checking to make sure the battery is secured and has tape over the positive battery terminal/cover.

Isn't that for attaching/suspending that panel from the underside of the frunk lid while working inside the battery compartment?

The entire plastic cover and accompanying plastic strap is a pretty pathetic setup.
