Porsche 991 Targa 4S Exclusive Edition only 15 units made

Call it what you want,....money grab, strange, different, parts bin, whatever.....(it's all of them)....
I think it looks totally awesome, at the very least one of the better "special" versions I've seen.
It has the power kit so it's basically a GTS Targa that is very unique. I'd take one in a heartbeat.

I also have a Volvo V60 Polestar, and the people from the Netherlands commented that the tax on that 6 cylinder engine went crazy high on January 1.

I'll take a contrarian position on the "parts bin" and other comments that speak to reservations. There are no "parts bin" options for these seats. The exterior would probably be a PTS, but that could create a year delay. There are other more-or-less unique combinations here. So maybe the "exclusive" moniker is growing a bit old, but if I were buying new, and if I was interested in a Targa this would pique my interest. There certainly won't be a lot of these on the US highways! A buyer won't wait for the next special edition if that buyer likes what he sees. As long as Porsche doesn't uplift prices beyond the normal costs for the options and as long as dealers will, well, deal - I say more power to Porsche for offering up special, unique packages!
The company buys a lot of their parts on a just-in-time basis, but things like those seats probably have significant lead time from the supplier and have to be ordered in quantity, in advance. If they guess wrong about that quantity, they have a "parts bin" problem.
This is somewhat different from "parts bin" practices at GM, where they have 100,000 steering wheels left over from Cavaliers that the rental fleets didn't buy, so they stick them on Corvettes. But in both cases, the respective automakers are trying to avoid having to scrap a lot of brand-new parts.

Porsche has activated the long time gimmicky marketing strategy of corporate VWAG siblings Lamborghini and Bugatti in having an unending plentiful line of badge-engineered " special edition " 911s ... not good for them , IMO, as sooner or later buyers are conditioned to just sit on their hands waiting for the next " special edition " , knowing that they actually represent the best value vs optioning all those things separately .
