3rd gear in the manual has a longer ratio than in the PDK. So on the up shift the rev drop is larger with a corresponding loss of power. Need to shift as close to redline as possible in 2nd to help mitigate the problem.

Thanks for the review. I find that the sweet spot of the engine is between 6k and 8k. Yes I did say 8k because the limiter seems to be just above 8k. I also notice that the power is steadily increasing as the engine loosens up. Call it break in if you will. I'll be heading out to the track this weekend to do a little testing myself.

Ran into this video on you-tube the other day of a GTS running down a GT3.

WOW.
Yesterday while travelling on the NE Extension of the PA Turnpike I saw a new 4 GTS very close to yours!!
It was pouring down rain. No worries. Thats where the 4 really shines.

Beautiful car.

I wouldn't exactly describe it that way -- the GT3 absolutely walked away from the camera car out of every single turn. Camera car driver appeared to trust his brakes more and closed the gap again in all of the braking zones. Eventually, the GT3 gave him a courtesy point-by because the GTS driver appeared to be better, but the GT3 was clearly the better car, seems to me.

It's all relative to the line the the drivers are choosing. GT3 driver is turning in late and coming out quicker. While the GTS driver is turning in early and coming out slower. What I'm noticing is how well the GTS is reeling in the GT3 on the banked oval. Could also be the GT3 driver is scared of the wall though.

Noticed the same thing. I was surprised how well the GTS did on the oval as well. The 3 didn't run away from the GTS on what was probably the fastest part of the track, although accelerating from lower speeds in some sections the 3 really pulled away. Bottom line. The GTS can't, and is not supposed to beat the GT3, but impressive none the less. Props to the GTS though. Looks very capable.
