Default Part number for PFC brake pads

Hi guys,

Getting ready for a season of track days with my 991S, and I am looking to upgrade the brake pads. Pagid or Performance Friction seem to be the most commonly used pads. Many people perfer PFC over Pagid, so I thought I'd go for PFC (still open for debate, though...).

But I don't seem to find the PFC part number! I find only the part number for the 991 GT3 and for 997s, etc, not for a 991S. Can anyone help?

Thanks

PFC claims they are the same as the GT3. In reality, they fit and work well but there is a slight overlap of the pad on the rotor. It would be nice if they used the proper backing plate but the savings of only doing one, and the one that most will track hasn't swayed them. I've been back and forth with them on this for a year and a half. Their pads are light years ahead of pagids but this issue is irritating. Email Darrick Dong head of motor sports and request proper fitment for our car. In the mean time you can order from Apex performance, great service.

Performance Friction is currently offering the PF11 compound for the 991 GT3 and Carrera S front. As far as what pad shape goes on the rear of a 991S, we are still working on getting that sorted out. The PF7727 shape is close to the shape of the Pagid 4909 with is for the rear of the 991S.

Kind regards,
Mark the fronts fit both the 991S and the Gt3 but overlap the rotor edge on the S. It works but not ideal as it wears the outer edge of the rotor and forms a groove. I wonder if the GT3 380mm rotors will fit on the CS without caliper spacers...

The rears work as well but the 991S rotor is thicker according to PFC so the pad material needs to be shaved.

I've been running PFC pads on numerous cars for 15 years now and am a die hard fan, but frankly it's disappointing that they didn't do the proper home work and use the correct backing plates.....

A buddy of mine sent his back to PFC to have them ground and had to buy pagids for his event. He's so turned off he'll just sell the PFCs...
