I don't get the GT Silver attraction, it looks pretty blah, but then I don't like silver cars of any hue.
Maybe you're just an old-timer (I guess like me) who likes to see a little splash of color every now and then. Silver, grey, white, black, etc., they're all fine options I suppose. In some ways though we are like the automatons in the famous "1984" Apple Commercial nationally aired during the Super Bowl - everyone is persuaded to believe they have only a few color options and grow to love what they are told they can have. Or maybe people really do love greys and silvers and whites and we that chose to drive Skittles colored cars are the freaks.

Eh . . .
count me in as one ... if I'd had the option to PTS the GTS I would have ...
Since you have both, which do you prefer? Would you get GT silver again?
Good question, I'm not sure I would opt for GT Silver on any car but it just seems to fit the GT 3 well.
If it were available my first choice would be Ice Blue Metallic.... but Porsche offered it on the 997 Turbo S for a very very short time and then withdrew it.
... let me guess, you would have chosen a deep, rich, dark brown!
TOTALLY, brown on the outside and brown inside so it looks like a large shoe ... also I would kit it out with faux wood interior everywhere ... maybe even green deviated stitching too!

I would tend to agree, I don't get the fascination with Silver. Sometimes I purposely watch at busy intersections to see what color variations show up, (yeah, sad but true).
About 75% of cars that show up are silver, with the next popular color being white. Silver Toyotas, silver Hondas, silver Fords, and on and on. Either we live in a world where silver is the "bling" to many peoples eyes, or one where people want a color where little effort can be put forth in up keep.
I just couldn't stand being part of a crowd that big,.....so Carmine Red for me!
