Default Anyone confirmed a MY16 GTS Allocation yet?

My dealer is saying it could be 2-4 weeks before 16 allocations hit US dealers, and all the 15's are more or less locked and gone. ( i passed a 15 allocation to get a 16 -last year NA etc). Anyone locked an order on a 16 GTS coupe? Thanks in advance.

A 2016 "last of the NA's" will be keepers.

Those who are able to get one, do it!

A PTS or Lava Orange GTS coupe will be golden.

Add a manual and sunroof delete and it's icing on the cake.

STG, could you add some color on the significance of PTS, lava orange and no sunroof? I get MT vs PDK and the significance, but is the paint color just around rarity? what do you think about GT Silver in that regard? Thanks much!

I agree with your PTS, manual, and sunroof delete comment, but we will have to agree to disagree on the Lava Orange. That is one fugly color, IMO.

I've ordered the sport design wheel to get paddles, do I need to change to multifunction wheel?

I'm not sure which wheel the "Macan Style" wheel will replace. I assume the multifunction? I don't have an answer for that.

Actually, do some research on the Cayenne and see what changes they made with the facelift. Might give some guidance there since they just introduced the same steering wheel there. Did they drop one style?

Looked at the Cayenne real quick on the mobile site. Is there only the new steering wheel available? Didn't see other options. Multi function and sport wheel rolled into one??

I know the new wheel is coming on the GT3RS standard instead of the Aluminum Sport one the GT3 has now.

The no sunroof along with the manual in 20yrs or so I think will be desirable as an example of a true "enthusiast" example of the last of the NA's.

As far as color, it's more about a rarity thing. Having one of these cars with a more rare color can only add to it's appeal. I think GT Silver would be ideal as a safe, but classic example. There are some also some great classic Porsche PTS colors obviously.

In the big scope of things, get what you want to drive today, unless you plan on ordering a car and putting it into storage for the future or plan on keeping it for your children.

I'm not a fan of ordering options for the next guy at resale overall. It's your car and money, and enjoy it the way you want. It's just that sometimes guys can't understand the marketability of their used car or additional depreciation based on their choices sometimes.

I just emailed my sales guy and he said they have 1 more '15 GTS allocation now that I can build or I can wait a little bit and get a '16 to be delivered in Sept. Which would you choose? I have a great driving 997S to tide me over while I wait.

If it's the same deal, I'd wait for sure. Not to mention it probably will have the new steering wheel and maybe other changes.
