Tequipment Battery Charger
Hoping someone else out there has recently bought the newer type of Tequipment battery charger. I just bought one and want to be sure it is working correctly. When the battery is fully charged the green light is solid . Does the continuously flashing orange light to the left mean it is sending pulses to the battery to keep it fully charged? I had and old one years ago and dont remember the the orange light to the left....Thanks in advance for the help!

Thanks but maybe I was confusing. The green light, now that it is charged, stays on. It is the orange light next to it on the left the keeps flashing continuously.Which I think means it is sending pulses to keep up the charge...

I have of the Porsche dual mode chargers and my orange light does not flash. The only time my orange light has flashed was when I did not have the 12V socket adapter plug firmly seated in the socket. Check your connections.

Timely topic.
I have a Porsche 'Charge-O-Mat' (number 000 043 202 56) tender that I used on my 993 TT. It plugs into the cig lighter.
Will this work on my new 991 'S' ??
The car is not here yet so I haven't tried this tender out yet

It's not normal. I believe the flashing yellow light means that there is a constant draw on the battery someplace. I unplugged my iPod from the glovebox connector and haven't had a fast-flashing yellow light since. Just the normal yellow / green alternating lights.
Coincidence? Could be, but it worked for me.

If the indicator for charge and maintenance charge are flashing, it may have the following causes:
Interruption of the charging process because a cable has become loose or because the battery is not conducting.
Battery may be defective and should be replaced.
High self discharge of the battery, indicating a bad battery.

I do not have the smokers package, can you put the adapter into the center console plug or passenger plug as if it was the cigarette lighter plug. Still having issues. Thinking it is defective because I cannot get the green light to go on showing the battery is fully charged. I have pushed the adapter in as far as it would go in both of those adapters. Any other thoughts...

how long have you had it plugged in? keep in mind that it may take 12 hours or more, depending, for the battery to get fully charged. if you have had it plugged in for 4-6 hours, that may not be enough time
