The German website, as far as I can determine, is not indicating that the new optional Lava Orange 991 GTS is MY2016. Seems curious that Porsche is doing a MY2016 NA GTS at this early date when they have officially announced 991.2 forced induction for MY 2016. Unless, the 991 GTS will continue production as a NA model, without interruption, into 991.2 production. But, if that's the case, when Porsche has in the past often continued to produce some older style models (in this instance, the 991.1), while introducing the newer face-lifted versions (991.2) in base Carrera and Carrera S versions (as the Colorado photos appear to be), would they be likely to take MY 2016 991 GTS orders this early in the calendar year? I certainly don't know. I guess we need to hear from Brett that his internal configurator is now allowing dealers to order the Carrera GTS as a MY 2016 vehicle. If that is true, the photos certainly appear to be of the 991.1. What do you guys think?

big deal .....it is orange .. like a bunch of new Corvettes and Camaros and look at the new Chargers on the road ...seems like half of them are " 1970 " purple, orange or green ..its a good thing .
Porsche should make silver, white, black or grey PTS to disincentivize them so that there appears to be more than one 911 in each town !

I read a leaked internal memo that says the goal is to offer three shades of flat silver/grey for free, six optional metallic shades of sliver/grey/black for $710, and GT Silver, Polar Silver and Arctic Silver for $3100. Everything else will be PTS.

LOL, great idea. But they're able to have their cake and eat it too -- they got me to pay over $3000 for a different silver than the one that only costs $700! Surely that's more entertaining to them on the way to the bank.

Brett: Is there any indication PTS program has been revamped/improved? If they are taking PTS for June production allocations, does this mean MY2016 .2 991 starts to be built in June of 1014 and deliveries expected this summer? Is 'Lime Gold Metallic' the only color dropped? Give us as much info as you can on this topic. Thanks.
