New turbo engine acting up. The 911 is saying WTF!!! Where's my naturally aspirated engine??
Why are you choking me with a POS turbocharged Dyson engine!!
Stuttgart what are you doing to the legend??
We need to replace Porsche's current CEO with someone who couldn't give a rat's *** about being the most "fuel efficient" sports car brand in the world. I doubt anyone who has ever bought a Porsche has ever really cared about CO2 emissions or MPG when shopping for one...

Unfortunately you'd have to go up further the government food chain. They're the ones to blame. The politicians.
I don't think I see an Intercooler, in the rear spoiler, like the patent photos showed.
Maybey these are not turbo?
I think its been a LONG time since Porsche mounted its intercoolers under the engine cover ... I believe they moved them down to either side of the engine back with the 996 (following the RUF design) ... thats why the bumpers have
those slots in the lower valance...

Correct. The 993 Turbo (1996-1997) had the large inner cooler right under the rear engine lid vents above the motor.

That change with the 996 Turbo.

Yeah that was my recollection; then RUF came out with a turbo that replaced the single intercooler with two smaller ones, one per turbo, mounted on each side low down and they ventilated the lower valance for colling, and Porsche followed suit thereafter ...

Not sure if serious. Don't think any auto company is going to successfully undo 50 years of ever challenging emissions and economy standards. The future is now, adapt or die.

Geez, who spat in your coffee?
Edit: I'm well aware of the truth of the matter, just poking some fun at it is all. I thought the pic of Mr. Rohrl would've been enough; clearly I should have put in a "jk" or "lol" or maybe even "this is a joke by the way".

Adapt or die?? Sounds a bit extreme.
So give in to the regime or face the firing squad? Watch out, that may not be that far off. It's a reality in many countries as we've seen.
You'd hope there was some science in there somewhere. I'm pretty sure my kids will live in a world with few internal combustion engines. Hopefully they'll still be allowed to drive my 911!
Appreciate the spirit but that is seriously an apples to oranges comparison... McLaren is hoping to sell 3000 cars next year while Porsche sold almost 190,000 units this past year. McLaren is a tiny niche company with zero scale.... if they were going to try and expand to even 100k units annually I'd be certain there would be a sedan and SUV in the mix.
