Default GTS with Ducktail -- Do you lose the black GTS engine grill

Has anyone taken delivery on a 991 GTS with the Sport Design package? I noticed the AutoExpress youtube video review of a Sapphire Blue GTS has a ducktail, and it has standard 911 S rear slats. But other reviews, including of RHD models like the blue one, without the ducktail, have the black grill.

So I just checked the configurator with my build code -- noticed (for the first time) that it has the S type painted slats. So I uncheck the SportDesign box, and Voila! changes back to black grill.

Has anyone taken delivery and confirmed for a US market car? I would have still gotten the SportDesign, but really, really like the throwback grill and hate to be losing it if that's the case.

The first shot of the grill is at 19 seconds.

Yes this is well known. With Sport Design or Aerokit you lose the black GTS grille slats. See below, same deal with the SD ducktail.

Gotcha, thanks. I searched on all the search terms but nothing came up that addressed that specific question.

Well, like I said, I'd have still ordered it with SD, but it would have been a harder choice -- loved the grills on the 50th and was looking forward to something similar for myownself.

But, somehow life marches on despite these sorts of cruel disappointments...

By the way, why did you let that dude kick your front bumper? Down here we'd have beaten the corn starch out of him for something like that.

Good eye... not kicking the bumper though, that is my sales associate and he was walking around to the other side of the car.

Funny, but in with certain colors (such as the white I ordered) I actually like it much better in body color. One of the reasons I went aero (also seriously considered a duck).

+1 I think the GTS grille is a little "busy"/"retro" but hey-ho...

You people have absolutely no taste, that much is clear.

Well, except for choosing a GTS in the first place. I'll cut you some slack for that.

"Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man!"

They are all fun. At least that's what I think, as I wait, and wait, and wait....

Pretty sure that the ones delivered to the midwest are arriving by mule train.
