TBD, need to see an actual car, all depends on the commonality of the wiring harness, if its doable at all, then its the cost of the 4S lighting strip.

(I'm not sure but I think the 4S strip *may* replace the function of the 3rd brake light on the engine cover, tbd)

Nope. There are two third brake lights on a 4 when no ducktail or other wing. There is an upper third in the engine cover grill, and another in the trailing edge of the active aero wing. The wing third brake light is only active if the wing is raised, which in turn shuts off the upper third in the grill. Neither of these two lights have any impact at all on the 4 light strip, which is a steady light.

Yeah after I said I thought it might be brake light I realized that in fact its probably just an extension of the tailights as you state (thanks btw).

So it boils down to how (on the 4S) the center light bar is powered, and if the 2 can be retrofitted...
