Could anyone help me with some info on the 991 reversing camera?
I like to know if you can turn the camera off, and if you can, does the view in the pcm then revert back to the standard graphic i.e. the car with coloured zones around it. I would like the option of the camera once and a while but would like the normal park assist on a daily basis.
In case you aren't aware, the camera feed is overlayed with the parking sensor graphic, complete with the colored zones. There isn't really a downside, but maybe you want the camera off for other reasons.

Surprised no one has asked yet... Do you have the factory camera that became available with the 15's, or did you install aftermarket? NAV-TV? I have the latter, and I can turn the rear camera on or off at will even if in reverse....
I have a new GTS coming in March and am just sorting out the final specification. I like the idea of the camera for occasional use, but for everyday use prefer the less busy standard park assist display.
