Only if you try to keep it looking as awesome as it does right after a wash and wax. I've come to find that a black car can retain most its beauty with a layer of dust on the paint. And as anyone who has owned a black car knows, the beautiful mirror finish appearance that the car has after completing a wash and wax will last for only an hour or two.
As far as swirls are concerned, they are easily prevented by using proper washing techniques and if someone is really particular, an air compressor can be used to dry the car. I will admit that I wouldn't recommend a black car to perfectionists, since the smallest imperfections can be seen in the finish.

Yeah, got a black 991 4s. I absolutely love the car, but I will never buy another black car. As previously mentioned, your joy lasts about 2 hours with it clean.
Forget either color, go with the car color in 77Tony's avatar, post #25. What is that color?!! It's crazy!
Otherwise, +1 GT silver.

I bought my BMW more than 10 years ago and the salesman recommended that if I decided on black I should get the metallic and he was right. The metallic still looks great and doesn't show imperfections the way the solid black does. There is no question that solid black is outstanding when clean and perfect but after a while the imperfections show and can drive you nuts. BTW: GT silver is fantastic and would take it over black any time.

Looking at pics of that color online, it really seems to pick up and take on color of ambient lighting cause the avatar car looks like it has a lot more blue in it.
If it is exclusive to the 50th, perhaps they will do slate grey for PTS. One can dream.
