Default Dent/Windshield protection- worth it ? How much is a fair price?

I purchased the tire/road protection on my Cab C2S, but now wondering if I should have gotten the windshield/dent protection as well.

It covers dents that don't break through the paint, and the windshield.

Anybody get this? Is it worth it? How much did you pay?

I have found all these extra add-on dealer insurance policy gimmicks a big waste of money.

They always have a list of 20 things that they're trying to sell you before signing the paperwork, my answers are always no right down the list.

It's so tacky, it's actually insulting to a well educated person.

My opinion of course....

I always say no and play the odds on this stuff. And I have ALWAYS come out ahead.

Except for undercoating. I always get the undercoating.

You know every car made today by law is not allowed to have damage caused by rust for 10 years.

Kinda pointless to get undercoating then......

That gimmick insurance is for the dents that get pounded out that don't go through the paint ( or scratches) like he mentioned.

Won't cover a key job. Regular auto insurance covers that.

That's why we park our cars five blocks away from the mall entry.

Not even the meteor shower or acid rain insurance?

I was seriously considering the alien car abduction insurance since I heard extraterrestrials are Porsche fans!

Wheel insurance I can get behind given roads and winters in NE.
Dent insurance seems silly. How often do you see a dent that can simply be popped back out without re spray etc? All of the dings I have gotten tend to be of the shopping cart variety that takes some paint with it.

"It covers dents that don't break through the paint, and the windshield."

At least, my dealer calls it, dings, not "dents". I pass on it as have a great guy that removes dings.

I concur.

Your auto insurance should cover the windshield.

You meant well, jem, but he was joking. Also, the 10 year rust warranty is fairly common, but I don't there is any law requiring it. If there is, please correct me. The only federal law in this country is the emissions warranty.
