Another out dated tax we have in Australia relating to purchasing a car is stamp duty on the transfer of the vehicle registration into the buy,rs name .... For example if you buy a second hand car for $100K you are up for a $4000 dollar transfer fee ,,,the fee is based on a percentage of the sales price and surposed to be used to better our roads and inforstructure YEH RIGHT ,,,,Another example of Government getting something under a false pretends ,,,this whole process is done online now by the purchaser and only takes minutes to do ,,,,there is no justification for the Tax ,,,,just another example of a Government cash grab ............

lol an american thinks OZ is a socialist country, please, i would laugh but the truth is much worse. Straya is actually a very corrupt country run by very powerful and established lobby groups and boys clubs all with the one objective of sucking its citizens dry. Trust me the prices for goods in straya were much higher before the average bogan aussie got the internet and found out they were being farmed like a mushroom - kept in the dark and fed ****. Very influential and corrupt groups keep prices of cars, real estate, groceries, taxis, bank fees, etc etc sky high which in turn keeps taxes high, govt and business rub each others backs.

unfortunately for straya this has gone on for so long that just about every productive business or successful start up has had to leave the country to grow because the Govt combined with established interest groups come in and smash any disruptive business to protect their rent seeking ***** leaving straya to currently resemble a banana republic with massive wealth disparity - it wont end well
