Yup, they're showing off their new cars in SoCal prior to the LA show next week. That looks like the St. Regis hotel in Dana Point. I've been to a couple of PCNA events there in the past. It looks like the event was all-911 GTS, as I didn't spot any new Cayennes or the Panamera Exclusive in the video. I'll finally get to see them up close and personal next Wednesday evening. I can't wait.

It was a pretty superficial review leaving me with more questions than answers

I think he was saying that the GTS 4 Cab was less racy, less pure and less pointy that the GTS Coupe. No mention of the gearbox. He seems to be saying GTS only makes sense if you want some sort of GT3 'lite' ..

I really hope the front can cope with some snow! It seems quite low for me!!

More reviews from the press event are in... the Auto Express review in particular is very, very encouraging.

autoexpress seems to be reading the same script as the Telegraph:

".. while upgrades to the seven speed manual means the GTS has the best shift action of any current 911.

.. don't be tempted by the added grip of the four-wheel drive Carrera 4 GTS or the extra sensory delights of the GTS Convertible, because the rear-drive Coupe is where it's at. "

Yeah interesting comments on both the manual and the suspension setup, appears there may be more to the GTS than meets the eye... hard to say without a direct b2b comparison against a Carrera S mind you.

And another review is up... more positive feedback to say the least. Also some new pictures accompanying the article too.

The autoexpress article mentions gloss black wheels. I thought they were matt black?

"The wider body also affords the rear-drive GTS a more purposeful stance while other visual upgrades, such as centre-locking gloss black alloys, smoked light clusters with dynamic front lamps and black exhaust pipes, help set the car apart from lesser 911s."

They look satin finish to me, pic below from the Auto Express article. Definitely not glossy as they would appear darker in pics.

"...while the track is wider at the back and the spring and damper rates retuned front and rear to produce keener responses than in the regular Carrera S..."

"...Its ride and handling also feel a fair bit crisper while its electric steering is keener, the turn in more precise – compared with a regular Carrera S..."

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the finish is "two tone", matte with a polish/clearcoat on the face of the wheels ...

Nah I think that is the standard Turbo S wheel, the face is polished and the inside rim is black gloss.

I think what we are seeing here in all of these reports is essentially a rehashing of the press briefing with a little subjective opinion mixed in for good measure ...

I think we need to wait for the Evo/Total 911/GT Porsche magazine reviews ...
