Certificate of Authenticity
Got this in the mail from Porsche for my CPO C2S. Thank goodness this came, without it I was never quite certain I bought a genuine Porsche. Now I have a fancy certificate that proves it. Good Grief.

It is a nice touch - it is too bad that they charge $100 for it. Worth it to some, not so much for others. But that's Porsche, love it or hate it (and I'd guess you'd love it if you owned VWAG stock), they milk every penny they can out of the Brand.

It's a silly meaningless gesture that some of us have received.
They should be spending their profits elsewhere, such as improving their dreadful after-sales support programs or replacing ALL the defective change-over valves.

Maybe I can exchange my certificate for a couple of changeover valves... That would be a great idea. Then I can exchange the free pens I got, and the leather folio, etc, etc....

I feel left out. Bought my CPO a few months prior to you and never got one!

It's my understanding this is a gift from your dealership's sales and service team. They bought it for you. Maybe have some class and send your sales contact and Service Advisor an email and say 'thanks!".

I got one with my last two Porsches. The cars were from different dealerships. I also got a silver metal pilon with Porsche crest. My name, the car model and VIN are inscribed on the front.
These items came directly from Porsche and nothing was mentioned about dealer involvement. I just assumed it was from Porsche. I don't see a benefit for the dealer if Porsche takes all the credit.
In any event, it's a nice gesture.

Sorry, I bought the car because I like it and got a good deal. I could care less about the worthless gesture, which to me reeks of narcissistic, ****** ***-kissing. But I guess that's part of the Porsche 'experience'. Valuable for, or even expected by some.
